New Yoruba Inspired Tracksuits for LDM Basketball Academy!
Leeds LDM Basketball is delighted to announce an exciting collaboration for the 2024/25 season with two businesseses, who will be providing the tracksuits for our LDM Basketball Academy. These vibrant tracksuits, featuring bespoke African-inspired designs by IKE Choice Couture, will be worn by players from the Leeds City College/LDM Basketball Academy at all games and events this season. This unique partnership underlines our commitment to innovative collaborations, setting the perfect tone for our upcoming Black History Month celebrations at the Leeds Basketball Festival.
IKE Choice Couture, a distinguished Leeds based African seamstress with a shop in Harehills, is known for her exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality fabrics. Ike’s meticulous attention to detail is evident in the blue and green Yoruba inspired customisations featured on the tracksuits. Commenting on the project, Ike said:
I am very pleased to have worked with LDM on this new project, the boys looked amazing in their new attire! I am looking forward to the future success of the team and would very much like to be a part of the journey.
The tracksuits also feature sponsorship from Live 2 Help, a Wolverhampton-based recruitment agency whose ethos of supporting individuals on their journey aligns seamlessly with LDM Basketball’s values. Managing Director Daniel Brown added:
We are an organisation that supports businesses and people in their development in their careers in many areas of life from finance, motivational speaking, faith, family, fitness and freedom. We wanted to support the great work that LDM have been doing over the past 6 years as we see them as a key cornerstone for the development of young people in the community that embody the ethos that we represent.
