Leeds LDM Basketball Announces Newly Elected Board of Trustees
As we enter an exciting new chapter for our organisation, we are delighted to announce the election of a new Board of Trustees to lead and guide Leeds LDM Basketball into the future. This highly established group of professionals, each a leader in their respective fields, will leverage their extensive experience, knowledge, and influence to help our now five-year-old organisation continue its upward trajectory.
The newly appointed board consists of:
Kevin Hylton (Chair): Professor Kevin Hylton brings with him a wealth of expertise in sport, diversity, and leadership. As a leading academic and authority on race and diversity in sport, Kevin’s guidance will be instrumental in ensuring that Leeds LDM Basketball continues to foster inclusion and excellence both on and off the court.
Jason Pitter KC (Vice-Chair): Jason, a prominent barrister and the first Afro-Caribbean barrister to be appointed as King’s Counsel on the North Eastern Circuit, is an advocate for community engagement, equality, and justice. His deep-rooted connections to the local community of Leeds, along with his legal acumen, will provide strong leadership and direction as Vice-Chair.
Vicki Davis (Treasurer): With her extensive background in finance and accounting, Vicki Davis will support the financial health of Leeds LDM Basketball. Her experience in ensuring financial sustainability will be vital in supporting the club's growth and development.
Karim Ibrahim (Funding Officer): Karim, a skilled professional in fundraising and development, will be responsible for identifying and securing funding opportunities to help expand the organisations programmes and initiatives. His focus will be on attracting new investments and partnerships to support the organisations long-term ambitions.
Together, this new board will serve as a critical support system for the Chief Executive Officer, working to ensure that the organisation adheres to its mission and vision while maintaining accountability and strong governance. Their combined experience and leadership will be key in navigating future challenges and opportunities as we continue to build on our successes.
