Leeds Basketball Festival
We are delighted to announce the Leeds Basketball Festival, taking place at the Mandela Community Centre on 12th October 2024. As we celebrate our 5th year as an organisation, we have made this year’s Black History Month event our biggest and best yet!
This special event marks not only Leeds LDM Basketball’s new charitable status but also a vibrant celebration of Black History Month. We are honoured to welcome the Lord Mayor of Leeds, Councillor Abigail Marshall Katung, who will officially open the presentation at 2:30 pm.
Throughout the day, there will be plenty of activities, with local businesses and sponsors coming together for a true community celebration of basketball. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to our official event partner, Vertu Motors Leeds, as well as our event collaborators, Leeds City Council, Leeds Youth Service, and Basketball England.
Event details:
12:00 pm – 2:30 pm: Games, raffles, and fundraising activities
2:30 pm – 3:30 pm: Presentations, including speeches from the Lord Mayor, our new Board of Trustees, sponsors, and more
3:30 pm – 5:30 pm: U18 Fixture TBA!!
