Leeds Basketball Showcase 2022
In the first event of it’s kind for the city, Leeds LDM Basketball collaborated with city rivals, City of Leeds Basketball Club to bring the inaugural Leeds Basketball Showcase. An event centered around the principles of ‘Community’ , ‘Unity’, ‘Opportunity’, the event saw a footfall of around 500 spectators enter Leeds Beckett University Sports Arena to watch Leeds’ most talented young players compete against each other.
The event ran from 12 - 6pm with our u16 boys, u18 men and women taken part in head to head competition against their City of Leeds counterparts. It was a truly memorable event, professionally Compèred by the legendary Mike Shaft, LDM finished the event winning 2 out of the 3 games, with victories for the u18 men and women, with the u16 boys just falling short by two points in the first game of the afternoon.
